I was invited to a Sunday family lunch in Chianti. My plan for Florence was hindered by my plastered leg and crutches. Instead, I had to take comfort from drinking un caffè in the cup printed with Florence scenery in this charming provincial casa. The warm welcome from my friend’s family consoled me and I was happy to be in the region where my favourite Italian vino came from. Cypress trees were creating the beautiful and unique Tuscany landscape along with olive trees and wineries. The art works on the wall of the house were telling me that the owner of house is an art appreciator: con il gusto del bello. Starting with the gourmet homemade prosciutto & salami antipasto, the feast seemed endless accompanied with cheerful and enthusiastic family talk.
